A package as cute as this would be hard to open! This printed gift wrap is stripe on one side and white on the other. When the gift was wrapped, the paper was folded back to create a pleat so the gift tag has a place to sit and so you have a white border to decorate.

We're excited about all the design possibilities using the new colored mini brads.  Here we used a winter white brad to accent one of the flowers in this image that had been stamped in white and then embossed using white powder.  A bit of color was added using colored pencils.

This card was made by first stamping the image in black on a piece of white cardstock. The flowers were colored in using prismacolor pencils.  Three of the burgundy paper flowers  were then glued in place using crafters pick. The flowers add the fun touch that makes this card stand out.  I love the colors used here too.  Notice how the burgundy matting accents the flowers.

We couldn't resist using the new mini black brads as centers for our fun scribble flower.  After stamping and embossing each flower, make a small hole with a 1/16" anywhere hole punch in each center.  This allows you to insert the brad without creasing the paper.  Attach the brads and then glue the layers of paper together.  The backs of the brads are now hidden.

What could be more personal than putting someone's picture on their birthday card. We love to make photo copies of photos onto vellum paper as the photos take on a wonderful new look.  Here we attached the photocopy behind a Memory Box circle window card.  We enhanced the window by attaching cut outs from the fern punch and finished it off by stamping happy birthday.

You're Invited to a Party
Celebrate a special birthday with a special invitation.  We love using the Garamouche computer font when making invitations.  It gives you a chance to say exactly what you want to say with style!  We printed the invitation on vellum and then layered the vellum onto a piece of meadow colored cardstock.  We attached the layers with white brads.  Party stamps were inked with Brilliance ink as this new ink dries on vellum.

Brads - white

Impress paper - meadow

Birthday Surprise Card (version 1)
Designed by Jennie Duke, this card is a great example of the wonderful things you can do with the Impress blocks. Click on the card and you'll see an enlarged version. Notice how by inking the block stamps really good, you get a nice solid colored background. If you want a softer look, simply stamp the image first on scratch paper and then stamp a second time on your good paper without reinking your stamp. The block was stamped two times using seaglass and then two times using parchment ink. Jennie then stamped the small solid daisy stamp using white ink. A Leplume marker was used to add the orange center of the flower. After masking off the flowered squares, the birthday surprises stamp was inked with fawn and then stamped over the parchment colored squares.
Items used:
4748C - birthday surprise

4704A - small solid daisy

4703A - solid block

Colorbox ink - seaglass, parchment and white

Birthday Surprise Card (version 2)
The same techniques were used on this card as on the card above. A different solid block stamp and a slightly different layout were used. Jennie also chose to use coral instead of seaglass with the parchment, white, and fawn. Both color choices are great and good ones to remember. By using either of these layouts, you could create many wonderful cards simply by changing the images you stamp over the blocks.
Items used:
4748C - birthday

4704A - small solid daisy

4545C - rectangle block

Colorbox ink - coral, parchment and white

Impress ink - fawn
Birthday Cake
The trapezoid block was stamped with the Encore teal pad to start this card. It's shape goes great with our newest trapezoid wood tile. The tile was stamped with the birthday cake using colorbox royal blue ink.  The image and background were then colored in with Prismacolor pencils. To attach the wood piece to the card we used Crafter Glue.
Items used:
4776B - birthday cake

4735D - trapezoid

Encore ink - teal

Colorbox ink - royal blue

Birthday Card
The rectangle block was stamped to make the background for this card. The cake was then randomly stamped 3 times over the background. We colored the images in with Prismacolor pencils. Their soft lead gives such a bright color. Notice how the yellow color on the candles just makes them seem to glow.
