Three Sparkling Trees Note the shiny red dots on this card.  We used our new metallic red paper behind the white layer.  When it catches the light it really sparkles.  A 1/8" anywhere hole punch was used to punch out the holes in the trees.     Items used: B4886- tree Metallic Paper - gold Anywhere hole punch - 1/8" Shiny Metallic Paper - red Pinwheel Card Fold four circles (2 red and two white) in half to make this fun envelope for the front of this card.  Before the envelope was attached to the card, a piece of white Midori ribbon was inserted so it ties across the envelope.      Items used: Midori Ribbon - white Contemporary Tree Card Chocolate brown and red are two popular colors this year.  To make this contemporary card, the large dot tree was stamped and then cut out in a simple triangular shape.  A few of the holes were punched out using the anywhere hole punch before the tree was attached to the red paper.    Items used: Anywhere hole punch - 1/8" Duplex paper - crimson Oh Christmas Tree . . . The newest fern punch was used here.  We love the delicate and lacey look it gives when we glued several on in the shape of a tree.  A touch of sparkle was added to decorate the tree by gluing on a few small rhinestones.       Items used: Punch- mini fern Colorbox Pad - white Noel Our ready made wire words have small beads on them to add a touch of color.  Use them as is or for inspiration to make your own wire creations.  We glued them on with crafter's pick.  The background paper was made by rubbing a silver encore pad across a piece of linen finish paper.   Items used: Wire words Encore Pad Crafters Glue Frosty the Snowman Card The card this snowman was stamped on is printed white and blue.  The cards are perfect for a snowy scene.  Prisma glitter was used to cover the front and clear beads were added to the snowflakes to create a frosty look.   Items used: A4903 - wishing you Savvy snowman A4899 - small asterisk Colorbox Pad - lavender Savvy Cards - white/blue Holiday Shopper The shopper was stamped on a punched out circle and then colored in using prismacolor pencils.  The background stamps were stamped before the the circle was attached to the card.     Items used: D492020- shopper A4898 - medium asterisk C4878 - large asterisk B4893 - joy dot C4853 - large solid dot MB Cards - white smooth Tree Card Holiday Cards don't always have be be made with traditional colors.  Here we used plum and green.  Click on the picture to see how the card works.  The 1/8" star eyelet is set loosely so the triangular tree pivots.  A handheld star punch was used to punch out small stars.   Items used: Star punch Star Eyelets - brass Duplex Paper - plum, willow Snowflake Invitation Snowflake eyelets are our most popular item right now.  Here we used silver ones to make a holiday invitation.  Don't forget to use your decorative scissors.  The wavy look adds a whimsical touch to the design of the card.     Items used: Scissors- long reach scallop C4881- you're invited MB Cards - celadon Hoe, Hoe, Hoe Our little felt stockings will actually hold a small charm.  We filled the stocking with garden tools to make the perfect card for a gardening friend.    Items used: C4878- large asterisk Felt stockings MB Cards Snowman Silhouette The rectangle vellum tag is a great shape to use with the snowman punch.  The tag is tied on with our favorite silver cording.  I love how the nice silver edge of the vellum tags makes an eye catching frame.           Items used: Vellum Tags- large rectangle Punch - snowman A4714 - seasons greetings MB Slim Cards - crimson Star Card The silver star brads holds the printed Merry Christmas ribbon to the card.  We used the shiny red metallic paper for the layer under the star.     Items used: Star Brads- silver Merry Christmas Ribbon Shiny Metallic Paper - red Sleigh Ride Circles are in this season!  The sleigh is stamped on a punched out circle which is mounted on the card using double stick mounting tape.  I love the blue, silver and olive color combination.     Items used: C4918- sleigh C4894 - peace dot B4893 - joy dot MB Cards - white smooth Snowman Card This easy to make snowman card uses our great new imprinted ribbon.     Items used: Ribbon- Merry Christmas MB Card - celadon Crafter Pick Glue Circle Punches Holly Card Use the holly leaf punch and red wire to create the red holly berries to make this effective card.  Notice the narrow scalloped mat behind the white square.    It was punched out of the burgundy duplex paper.  The combination of the red and burgundy is nice.      Items used: Holly Punch Memory Box Cards - crimson Duplex Paper - burgundy Peace and Joy This card needs little explanation. Notice the great colors that were used - brown, baby blue and colonial blue. It's a color combination that we're using a lot at Impress.   Items used: C4894 - peace dot B4893 - joy B4902 - snowflake block Versacolor ink - pinecone, baby blue Colorbox ink - colonial blue Happy Thanksgiving The beautiful fall colors of our turkey confetti go well with the Impress ink pad called autumn leaf.  We stamped the long rectangle block stamp and then simply glued on the confetti.  Notice the soft look of the deckled edge on this card.   Items used: C4836 - small long rectangle Impress pad - autumn leaf Fabriano Cards Winter Skater The two asterisk stamps are good designs to have in your stamp collection.  You'll find you can use them a lot.  Here they make a great snowy background that adds a sparkle to the card.     Items used: D4919 - skater A4899 - small asterisk A4899 - medium asterisk Winter Greetings The images on this card were stamped and embossed using silver embossing powder. Radiant pearls were then used to add color.  We love the shimmery look radiant pearls give.  Items used: B4827- cap B4828 - mitten B4826 - skate Radiant Pearls Snowy night Here's another use for the large solid circle stamp - a moon!  The snow bank on the bottom was made by gluing on a piece of white cardstock. Chocolate duplex paper was used for the reindeer.  On the front we stamped "wishing you" and inside we stamped one of the partner greeting stamps that go with it.   Items used: Punch- reindeer C4853 - large solid dot A4903 - wishing you Colorbox Pad - white Holiday Shopper Our holiday shopper was stamped in brown and then colored in with colored pencils.  The medium dot stamp makes a great background.   Items used: D4920- shopper A4855 - small solid dot MB Cards - white smooth Sleigh Ride The solid stripe stamp is one we like to use a lot.  It makes a great background.  Notice how the layer of brown paper is trimmed with a scallop scissors.  It's a nice touch.     Items used: E4813- solid stripe C4918 - sleigh ride Versacolor ink - petal pink, bark Duplex Paper - chocolate Snow Globe Card Snow globes are popular during the holidays.
