Photocopy Transfer

Don't be surprised if when you give this card away, the recipient keeps it on display for a long time. It's a beautiful card and is so fun to make. You'll find it's almost like magic the way the image stays on the plastic when you submerge it in water. Follow the steps below to see how it's created.
Step 1
Tear your photocopied image from your sheet of vintage postcards. The jagged edge adds to the vintage look you want to achieve. Peel off the back of the laminating sheet and stick the vintage print to it.

Step 2
Now lay the laminating sheet onto a white piece of text weight paper. This step is needed to get rid of some of the stickiness of the laminating sheet.

Step 3
Cut out around your piece of laminating plastic.

Step 4
Submerge this piece into a dish of lukewarm water. Allow it to sit for a few minutes so the water penetrates into the paper.

Step 5
Now for the fun part! Gently rub the back of the laminating sheet and the paper will start to come off. In this example, we chose not to rub off all the white paper completely because we liked the look with a little paper left on since we were working with a vintage image.

Step 6
To assemble, tape the laminating sheet to the rectangle window card using double stick tape.

Finish
Add the contrasting rectangle window layer and you're finished!
