You need two punches to create this snowflake edge around a square or
rectangle. One to do the corners and one to do the edges. Directions are
included with the punches.
Square Frame
We've been using the Savvy damask a lot for the holidays. It makes
such a great background. Another stamp we're loving is the new
square frame. It's great for photo cards. Slate grey was used for the damask. The frame was
stamped using chocolate brown.
Think about using bags instead of gift wrap for gifts. That way the
recipient can repurpose the sack. On this bag, we removed the
twine that it comes with and added a beautiful ribbon tie.
We carry two sizes if these burlap sacks in our store.
The maple tag was the perfect accent for the packaging. We used Fresh Ink chocolate brown to stamp our
to from stamp with. In the sack, we included a hand stamped
set of stationary.
We love using our beaded flourish stamp. When multiple stamped, it makes a great background.
Notice the gray and brown color combination. It's one we're
using a lot this holiday season. The base card for this photo card is a fabriano card. They come folded but
if you want just a flat, you can easily tear it on the fold like and make two cards from one.
It's so fun to make small packages of goodies for friends and co workers for the holidays.
Wouldn't someone like to find this on their desk when they arrived at work?
Make this clever folded package by starting with a square piece of paper.
With one point toward you, fold in the two sides so they evenly overlap and
then fold down the top flap. We printed the words on our computer and then punched them out
using the fancy square punch. When making projects like this, we love to use the paper lined double
stick tape.
Adding a wreath around a photo is always a fun design to do.
Here we used a snowflake punch. Note the simple knotted velvet ribbon at
the top of the wreath. We glued the ribbon to the card so it lays nice
and flat. When gluing ribbon to a card like this, we use crafter's glue.
This whimsical frame from Savvy is the perfect frame for
this fun photo. The greeting can either be printed using your
home computer and printer (if you do this, don't forget to print in a color
and fun font) or you can have a custom stamp made.
Don't go to all that trouble to make a wonderful handmade card
and then send it in a plain envelope! Here's a few ideas of things
you can do to an envelope to make a great first impression for the person who picks up the mail.
Add envelope label wraps, rub ons, large monogram stamps and stamped images.
Don't forget to use fun fonts and color. If you're writing on a dark
colored envelope, you'll want a white, silver or gold pen.
