A simple take out box looks beautiful when decorated in your
party colors. Just wrap a band of card stock around it and then
embellish with the daisy shape. Two 1/8" holes
were put through the center of the two daisies for ribbon to run through.
Wedding Cake
Use a border punch to create the decorative wedding cake.
Cherry Blossom Wedding
For this invitation, the cherry blossom was stamped on the
cardstock and then the vellum layer was added over it. This technique
softens the image. Versacolor petal pink and Impress fawn
are the colors of ink used.
Making your own party favors can be fun. Scan in a photo
and layer the words over it to make a personalized wine
label. Use an assortment of fonts for a professional look.
Love is Brewing Favor
Clear plastic tubes make great packaging for wedding
favors. Here we added coffee. Want to give tea? How
about "tea for two". The vellum was printed using a
home computer and printer. When doing a project like this
lay out as many as you can on an 8.5" x 11" format.
Print and then cut.
This daisy invitation will set the tone for a fun
garden shower. Make a glassine pocket from a 2" x 2"
glassine envelope by cutting off the flap and then using
a small circle punch to make a half circle notch. Print
the folded invitation on your computer and
then fold so only the words "you're invited" will show
through the glassine pocket.
Ribbon Shower Card
When stamping on ribbon, we use a pigment ink. Since we're
not going to wash the ribbon, we don't worry about it being
permanent. We used the scalloped scissors to decorate the
edge of the card. It's a simple trick that adds a lot to
the design of a card, especially when using duplex paper.
As you've probably noticed, at Impress we love to
embellish cards. First stamp the background with petal
pink ink, a soft pink ink that's perfect to use with the
blocks. Then glue on the champagne glass charm with
Crafter's Pick. The beads are also glued on and here's
the trick. Take the lid off your glue and use your
needle tool to put just a dot of glue where you want the
beads to be. This glue is so great, all you need is a dot to hold the
bead in place and you avoid a messy glue job!
